RUFFA'S MOM FILES SEX RAP VS EX-MAYOR

Pasay City, Oct. 8, 1997 - Annabelle Rama has filed a complaint of sexual molestation against former mayor Clarito Poblete of Silang, Cavite.

According to the complaint filed by the mother of beauty queen and actress Ruffa Gutierrez, Poblete touched her breast, kissed her on the lips, caressed her buttocks and even attempted to force her into his private room at the Heritage Hotel, scene of the alleged crime.

Ms. Rama had just come from the hotel's coffee shop with three companions, including a movie reporter, when their group met the former mayor at the lobby, where Poblete allegedly "attacked" her, and continued to follow her group to the parking area.

Poblete allegedly tried to drag Ms. Rama into a VIP room, but the former actress and wife of actor Eddie Gutierrez was able to escape to the elevator.

Pasay City police operatives are now trying to locate the suspect, who had left the hotel by the time the complaint was lodged.
