LA OROPESA BLASTS NEW BOLD STARS

Manila, Oct. 8, 1997 - The former queen of bold movies, Elizabeth Oropesa, has sound advice for today's crop of bold stars: say good bye to vulgar language and behavior.

At the press conference for Viva Film's The Sarah Balabagan Story, La Oropesa criticized the language used by the young bold actresses. "Ang mga bold stars ngayon, naghuhubad na, mga bastos pang magsalita," she observed.

The beautiful actress, known for her soulful eyes and knock-out body, also decried the intrigue among the new actors and actresses.

"Noong panahon namin, wala kaming away-away, walang siraan, walang bastusan," she lamented.

The secret of her enduring reign in the movies? "I like to think I lasted this long because I've proven that I can show more than just pagpapa-sexy; that I have talent which still serves me to this day."
