NEGROS TENANTS GET 2,000-HECTARE DANDING FARM

Bacolod City, Oct. 30, 1997 - More than 1,500 farmers will receive 2,000 hectares of farm land from the estate of Marcos associate Eduardo "Danding" Cojuangco.

The distribution of Cojuangco's landholdings in Negros Occidental under the Comprehensive Land Reform Program is a voluntary land transfer arrangement.

Cojuangco will soon submit to the provincial agrarian reform officer the owner's duplicate copy of the land title and the deed of absolute sale covering 2,000 hectares.

While awaiting the documents, the government is preparing the certificates of land ownership for more than 1,500 farmer recipients.
