SHARES LOSE 65 POINTS, PESO NOW 34.64/DOLLAR
Manila, Oct. 23, 1997 - Share prices plunged yesterday as foreign fund managers unloaded due to expected poor third quarter reports.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index fell by 64.92 points and closed at 1,928.97, with selling expected to continue tomorrow.
Likewise, the peso fell, losing 42 centavos to average at P34.646 to the dollar from Wednesday's P34.223.
