SUES MANAGER
Manila, Sept. 12, 1997 --
Philippine Basketball Association top cager Alvin Partimonio yestrday filed
a half-million-peso damage suit against his former manager Nap Gutierrez.
Patrimonio complained before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court that in 1994, he entrusted several blank checks to Gutierrez to cover expenses for Alvin's business interests while the basketball player was out of the country.
The checks, Partimonio said, were used by Gutierrez as collaterals for personal loans securd from Octavio Marasigan amounting to P200,000.00. When the chekcs bounced, Marasigan threatened to sue Patrimonio.
