BONG REVILLA IN DEAL WITH PARAMOUNT
Manila, Sept. 22, 1997 --Acting Cavite Governor Bong Revilla is negotiating with Paramount Pictures for a film To be shot in the Philippines starring foreign and local actors.
In an interview with Malaya entertainment writer Ian Farinas, Revilla said Filipino producers should not pit bold films against big-budget Hollywood movies.
"This should not be the case. We should not think the Filipino is cut out only for bold pictures. I have nothing against bold flicks, but I believe we should think about how we can penetrate the international market."
Ravelly, who starred in three action movies this year, revealed that he has met with executives from Paramount Pictures about their planned movie.
The son of actor and Senator Ramon Revilla said his first love is show business, although politics is now his top priority. He regrets that he is so deep into political work he has less time to do films.
