REGINE VELASQUEZ DUET IN HASSELHOFF ALBUM


Manila, Sept. 17, 1997 -- Singer Regine Velasquez has gone bigtime. Her duet with Baywatch superstar and producer David Hasselhoff will be included in latter's album.

"David's big in Europe, especially in Germany," says Regine. "He also wants to make it here in Asia so he asked Polygram, his recording company, to suggest an Asian singer who can do a duet with him. Since I'm also with Polygram, they sent him my CDs which David liked."

The duet was not recorded with the two singers in the same studio at the same time. After Hasselhoff approved her, Polygram sent Regine a song David had recorded, and recorded her portion. Regine went to Los Angeles last month to film the music video for the song.

"It was my first time to meet him in person. I told him I've had a big crush on him since I saw him in the TV series Knight Rider, and that he looks even better now."
