PETE ROA BACK TO
WORK AFTER STROKE


Manila, Sept. 16, 1997 -- Former matinée idol Pete Roa is back at his usual Radio Veritas time slot six weeks after a stroke. Pete's wife, actress Boots Anson-Roa, said he is well on his way to recovery.

Pete now moves about in crutches and is undergoing physical therapy with the help of his wife, children and grandchildren.

The Roa couple, who had previously established businesses in the US East Coast, moved back to the Philippines a few years ago and were immediately in demand as show hosts on radio, TV and for programs in provinces and cities outside the metropolis.
