SECOND MARRIAGES FOR ALI SOTTO, RACHEL ANNE WOLFE


Manila, Sept. 12, 1997 -- "Let me try again." The Frank Sinatra - Paul Anka song is being hummed by more and more Filipina actresses these days.

Ali Sotto, erstwhile wife of Maru Sotto (brother of actor Vic and Senator Tito Sotto), singer-actress Rachel Anne Wolfe took another shot at matrimony last month. Ali, now a popular TV host, married a foreigner she lovingly calls Dear Omar. Rachel, divorced from first husband Dr. Carl Calica, married Andy Garcia look-alike, 30-year-old Italian-American John Charles Spitaletta.

Legendary jazz singr Annie Brazil, Rachel's mom, gave her away at the wedding, which had Maxwell, Rachel's only son by her first marriage, as ring bearer.

According to a letter from Rachel published by the Philippine Star, they honeymooned in Madrid and the Canary Islands before settling down in their new home in Oakland, New Jersey.

Rachel works as Merchandise Coordinator for Polo Ralph Lauren's Infants-Toddlers for the territory covering New Jersey and New York.
