ASISTIO SON GETS FOUR YEARS FOR DRUGS
Caloocan City, Sept. 22, 1997 -- A son of Caloocan Congressman Luis "Baby" Asistio was sentenced to four years imprisonment for drug pushing. Sentenced in absentia by Judge Myrna Dimaranan-Vidal was Luis Asistio who, along with two co-accused, is now the object of a manhunt.
The young Asistio and two friends were arrested by police last December when he handed over some 15 grams of shabu worth P15,000 to an undercover cop posing as a buyer. The three pleased not guilty in their arraignment last January, but failed to attend hearings and jumped bail.
His father is Caloocan City's Representative to Congress, while his uncle was mayor of Caloocan.
